Kit Concept & Creation

During the DVD release for the latest Jurassic Park film, Universal was looking to promote a Walmart-exclusive DVD and keychain gift set. Our team created an influencer campaign to get the buzz going, and I was put in charge of creating the unboxing kit. Since the kit was primarily going to families with kids, I created a hands-on excavation experience.

Collaborating with a writer, I designed a Mission Guide that would guide the excavation and bring the kids right into the Jurassic World. I also sourced and built wooden tools, created my own plaster and sand mixture with wooden dinosaur skeletons hidden inside, and designed and crafted a box with inserts to enhance the unboxing experience. It was quite fun watching the parents and siblings uncover each piece of the kit.
