Brand Development

Walmart Merchandising needed a fresh and consistent way to communicate with buyers and vendors. While the new visual identity needed to feel like Walmart, their communications are not public-facing, so there was room to differentiate slightly from the parent brand.

I created a simple mark using Walmart’s brand font, Bogle, with a custom letter “M” and the half-spark. Completely custom icons that are subject-matter specific also make up an important part of the identity, along with various patterns and textures. I wrote and designed the brand guide and created the presentation template to be used across the department.
